Witness Powerful Answered Prayers

For nearly 40 years men and women from across our city have gone into prayer closets, conference rooms, city parks, and cars to cry out to God for our city. Many have walked or driven around our city pleading with our Lord to visit this city, to revive and heal it; to restore its soul, to be a model city for the nation. Today, we are seeing the fruit of those prayers! Though much remains to be done we should take time to reflect on and revel in what God has already done. There is a groundswell of hope and optimism, an eagerness to link hearts and arms across our city, and a spirit of cooperation among the saints to see Jesus exalted, to address the real needs of our people, and to show the world that we really can be one in the faith without compromising truth. To God be the glory! Join us in the journey to make OKC a city of praise unto our God.

OKC Fast: many across our city united in fasting and prayer for 21 days during January of 2025 appealing to Heaven for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our times. We fasted and prayed that we might wean ourselves from anything that inhibits the work of God in our hearts and in our city. We ended our corporate fast with a public celebration gathering and broke our fast together afterwards.

OKC Communion: several hundred people gathered at the Oklahoma History Center on January 20, 2025 to worship, share a meal, and partake of communion together. Those in attendance came from many backgrounds including businessmen, educators, law enforcement, pastors, and politicians. But Christ was the center of our conversation and the object of our praise. Together we used this time as a reset for our city and for us as the church in the city. It proved to be both a pivotal and a powerful time to reorient our hearts, to reconnect with brothers and sisters from across the city, and to discover how we can better walk together as one church in the city.

The Watchman’s Table: In August we had a banquet celebrating intercessors who have labored in prayer for years. We had testimonials and a panel who spoke on what God is doing in our times. It was a rich experience to see these hidden soldiers of the faith honored for their service.

Prayer Summit: Days after the Watchman’s Table we met for a prayer summit to seek God and discern His heart for OKC in 2026. We shared a meal and heard from each in attendance words and pictures helping us to corporately recognize what God is doing in our time and what He is requiring of us.

CNOW: City Night of Worship at the Bricktown Ballpark in September of 2025 was a magnificent celebration of Jesus for our city. Thousands gathered, and together we exalted Christ as King over OKC. Many decisions were made for Christ. Some for the first time, while others were returning prodigals. Water baptisms were conducted in horse troughs. What a joy to see souls captured by Christ and the lives of many committed anew to walk with Him! We were eyewitnesses to the work of grace!
